Erika - Yeah, lots of Zin in this tasting. Thats really interesting. I wonder why that is?

Tim - Grabbed a bottle of Lytton Springs this weekend. My description of your post - muscular but balanced, even though I pulled that out of my ass, if a pretty accurate statement. I loved it.

To anyone I forgot, I'm going to update it. I'm really sorry about that. So far I think there are 3 I missed.

Joel, I cracked up reading your summary of my post. Yeah, Calgon, take me away. You'll find the more kids you have (I've got 2) the more you need this ritual. Note: the music helps drown out the chaos beyond the bathroom door. BTW, I'm having a great time over at OWC, thanks for all your efforts.

Thanks for the great roundup Joel, amidst your chaotic world! The alcohol commenet was tongue-in-cheek though, for the record. Can't have people gettin the wrong idea about me here :P

I did think the quantity of Zinfandel reviews was a real interesting component of this theme as well! I wouldn't have guessed it.

Well done, Joel! Definably worth the wait.

Guess I'll have to check my bags on the way out west next month since I'll be packing a Prairie Fume for you. Last time I had it at the winery (10 years ago?) it was pretty nice... for Seyval Blanc ;-) Perhaps it's better now but it's in most stores here in MN.

Great post... you made me laugh and then feel kinda embarassed. When I wrote that line about "pre-children freedom" I had completely forgot that this whole WBW was inspired by your entry into parenthood and need for some comfort and relaxation amidst the chaos. Whoops!! :) That line was actually inspired by the fact that the day before I came home to a leak in our roof, dirty dishes, burnt dinner, laundry to be put up, and I thought... oh man, this is going to only get harder when we have kids.

Thanks for your inspiring subject and congratulations on the birth of your daughter!!
